Pretty nice little market with helpful employees. Meat market counter has a nice selection of items you don't always see. We buy fresh mussels there which are difficult to find. Really good whole roasted chickens ~ not too much salt. Small but pretty nice alcohol area with a pretty good selection.
Nice to have this store in Marengo when you need some quick incidentals. I get my propane here, plus milk and fresh produce from time to time. Clean grocery store and friendly staff. A bit pricey for a small town, but most locals take a trip to Belvidere or Woodstock for serious shopping anyways.

It isn't the worst ever but I wouldn't ever do all my shopping here. Very limited in their items. More than once, I've grabbed dairy products (milk, yogurt, cheese) that was past it's expiration date. The deli selection is non-existent. Really, this is just convenient when I need something quick for the same day.
While still somewhat limited, there are some all natural, organic, gluten free, & non ultra- pasteurized products available here, including a raw kimchi I just discovered near the cucumbers (in produce area) !
